Financial Planning Questions

Section 1:

Why would I spend more money on advice when finances are tight?

We strive to help working families actually save more money than they pay us because of our strategies. This is not always the case, but it is definitely our goal. Take a look at our financial planning examples.

A financial planner just wants to sell me a product like life insurance or annuities.

We've designed Pomegranate Financial so that we provide custom advice, not products. We do not receive kickbacks or commissions. Our focus is providing you the best financial advice for you.

I am fine, I don't need financial planning. I enjoy working on my own finances.

Most people manage their finances on their own. However, it is still hard to know what you don't know. That's why we created a membership so you can feel 100% confident in your own financial planning by having a professional to check in with and hear a second opinion.

My financial situation is too dire and I don't think I can be helped.

We are sorry to hear your situation is dire! We have seen and helped many in tough situations. We are happy to meet and talk for 60 minutes for free to understand your situation, and see if we can be of value. We offer pro-bono work for certain situations.

My situation is very complex and I am not sure Pomegranate Financial is the right fit.

We have seen different complex situations before. Sometimes we can help and sometimes we cannot. If we cannot help you, then we find the right expert in our network of financial planners that can help you.

Section 2:

Do you work remotely/virtually?

Of course! We love working remotely/virtually. To meet and get to know you across the United States or even world is amazing! We also enjoy in-person meetings as well. We use Zoom or Google Meet for our meetings.

I don't live in Utah, can we still work together?

Yes, we are based in Springville, Utah but we work with clients throughout the country. We love working with the right clients wherever they are located.

Your website says that you specialize in working with people who have more debt or are thinking about taking out their 401(k)/IRA. I don't fit that criteria. Will you still work with me?

Yes, that is our specialty, but most of all we love comprehensive financial and tax planning. If that's what you are looking for, then Contact us so we can learn more about each other.

Is this subscription/relationship forever? Or does it end?

Typically we work closely together for 12 months in our Premier Financial Planning agreement.

After 12 months we then meet every so often through the Membership agreement.

We want you to feel comfortable meeting with us when convenient and we want to meet with you to make sure we are proactive about your finances.

Do you offer a free consultation?

We sure do! We have up to a 60 minute meeting either by video, phone call, or in-person: Schedule A Meeting

What process and timeline can I expect to become a client?

During our complimentary meeting we will get to know each other, your goals & objectives, and expectations. We will send you an email summarizing how we can provide value and include our disclosures and agreement for you to review.

Once you are ready and have signed then you can schedule our next meeting. We will send you a pre-meeting email with links to our software and any pre-meeting tasks. It's that simple! We get started pretty quickly once you are ready.

If I become a client, do you have to manage my investments?

Nope! We are happy to manage your investments, but ONLY if it makes sense. We will have a meeting all about your investments and provide our recommendations and advice. But we want to do what's best for you and your situation. You can be a client and we do not have to manage your investments.

How often will we meet?

For the Premier Financial Planning agreement we meet as often as needed. Typically, that's 2-3 times per month for the first few months and then 1-2 times per month after the initial few months. It's based on your schedule, priorities, and timeline.

I am ready to have a conversation. How do we start?

We can start by scheduling the first meeting. We'll go over all the details in that meeting such as the agreement to sign, payment, future meetings, what to focus on first, etc.

How will I pay you?

We provide you an invoice. Payment can be made by ACH, credit, or debit card. We only accept checks if they are made in-person. Usually it is set up automatically on the same date each month for the 12 months working together.
